Hello Newgrounds!

First of all, I cannot BELIEVE that 200 of you like my music enough to call yourself fans! That's like, what? Six classrooms worth of people? Insane.

I know I haven't been posting a whole lot of stuff, but believe me I want to. I have several cool projects making their way into the light like another album that's super moody and tryhardy (as opposed to my last one that was mostly just loud) as well as a couple other things. Good music takes a while to make, and I really want my music to repeatedly surpass itself in terms of quality.

If you have any creators in your life that mean quite a lot to you and whose work you repeatedly enjoy, I implore you to buy something from them, tip them, pay them, commission them, etc. I know so many struggling artists who make awesome stuff but are seriously hindered in their pursuit of artistry by lack of funds. Don't let your favorite creators get swept away in the current! Help them make the world a more colorful, musical, enjoyable place.

Assuming my math is right, if on Newgrounds alone, for every thirty people who listened to my music, one of them tipped me a dollar, I could make this my full time job, full stop. Every increment toward that is a fantastic improvement, and I certainly don't expect that much in straight donations, but I feel like that also isn't an entirely unreasonable notion either. If you have the means, a little bit of support towards people like myself goes a hell of a long way.

I will proudly extend this sentiment to creators who aren't just artists too; independent journalists, indie video and film makers, bloggers, developers (like the ones behind Newgrounds!), sex workers & pornographers, animators, etc. All of these kinds of creators deserve your attention and support.

As a college student studying audio, I am constantly adding new ideas, techniques, and wares to my toolkit, consuming new media, and meeting new people. I'm stoked that I get to study what I love and make passion projects that so closely align with my scholarly endeavors. Understand that this is a double edged sword and that homework means my time is being spent on things that probably won't end up on Newgrounds. I promise I'm not dead, just dying inside.

Recently I got an award in the Treasure Hunt for my piece Egg. It caught me off guard but I am incredibly thankful to be appreciated like this! It means the world to me, @CappyCatII

I made it through the NGADM audition round and made a submission for the first round called Run From Me. I was pretty bummed to see it be one of the few submissions that didn't get frontpaged, but then @ikuda went and put it up for Takeover Tuesday. Yaaaay!

All things considered, I can't wait to see how I do. I have hope that I'm advancing in the deathmatch, but I'm unsure how much further I'm going to get. It's still insane that I'm cooking along in what I believe to be the most badass audio competition on Newgrounds. Wish me luck!
