This is solid trance! Cool stuff!
This is solid trance! Cool stuff!
Thank you! :D
The harmony is cool, but gets repetitive towards the end where it starts to loop a bunch. I really like the sound design in the beginning, but it also gets repetitive towards the end. I would have loved for this piece to morph continuously as it goes, that would make it really special.
You're absolutely right. I'm just still not sure how I would make it morph as I only learned how to produce and mix music since 2022.
But I'd be interested to hear any suggestions. My first thought was to make a tape effect to it. Perhaps if I pick it back up I'll try that... will post it if successful
Ok this is really well made and a super compelling progression of elements. Bravo!
thank youuuu <33
That reese is CHUNKY
nice groove, cool atmos, good mix, good composition
really cool stuff!
Thank you so much!!
All your tracks are so well crafted and clean
thank youu
Compositionally, I like the progression of this song a lot but I'm mostly going to complain about the distortion. IMO it's overdone and it's slamming your mix into a wall. A good mix of LIGHT distortion, compression, EQ, and whatnot are more than enough to make your track loud and huge, while also allowing you to control dynamics, transients, clarity, etc.
Also consider putting a reverb tail on the chopped synth stack to give it a little space and fit in the mix better. That's just a tasteful thing I would do, though.
You have very good ideas and compositional skills, give them room to breathe.
thank you for the advice !
I'll follow this in the future
just remember that I work on a shitty app (garageband) that doesn't even have (good) plugins in it but still.
i'll remember this !
thanks
I really like this, how it starts with a very cold, lonely mood and then switches to something that sounds more appreciative.
The loop you have is very pretty and the plucked string instruments are nice. I suggest you take care of your soundscape by means of intention; I feel like this might have been a little more upbeat than the idea you're trying to convey, or maybe not. Just a thought. :)
Compositionally, the track moves along well and does a good job of ebbing me in the direction that it wants to go.
ty! I'm glad you liked this track! I will try to take your recommendations into account in my next tracks <3
I really like the idea you have and the olskool dubstep sound design
I'm not a fan of the repetitiveness, the choice of drums, or the mixing. this track has a lot of potential to be really huge and banging, but it wasn't so much. Switch up the composition every now and then for a more interesting track, get drums with more smack and high end, and put more care into your available stereo space. You'll be amazed at how much the mixing itself will help
ty for the feedback though!! comments like this really help me out, i really appreciate it
only docking for mix clarity
I really like your lyrics, your overall composition and your delivery. You clearly had a point to make and I think you made it effectively. Listening was engaging, well done
if you have any suggestions for what i could do to make the mix better, please pm me or hmu on discord (in my bio) i appreciate the feedback!
HELLO POTATO MAN VII
As far as mixing goes, everything is clear and discernable. I'll say you have plenty of leeway for the bass frequencies, do don't be shy to put stuff down there! Also the stereo space has plenty of room too! I suggest doubling or layering instruments to make things like growl basses bigger
very nice atmospheres and vibes you got going around tho :3
Glad it's decent, I'm usually worried about having too much bass so it's interesting to hear that it's actually kinda low. As for spacing, I kinda just realized I forgot to add a panning effect to the background synth in the first drop, as well as just more panning in general lol (Thank you, Red Frog XLIX)
